Parks & Recreation

The Lowell Parks and Recreation Department's role is to create a healthy community through diverse and innovative recreation programming. We provide space to learn and play, space to be safe and secure, and space to create and imagine. Our goal is to meet the recreational needs of all of our residents as well as visitors in our wonderful city. We will continue to develop and bring new and exciting programs and events to all residents.

Tee Ball Player

We are accepting baseball sign-ups for ages 13-15 through Tuesday, March 12. 

Baseball sign-ups for ages 4-12 are full.

Registration will be available online and at City Hall (Monday-Friday 8am-5pm) during each registration period.

Bob Bolick Park

This park is adjacent to the Lowell Community Center. It consists of a 2-5 year old playground, swings, a toddler swing, an ADA accessible swing, a covered shelter, an outdoor basketball court, picnic tables, park benches, a Little Free Library, and on-site parking.

Harold Rankin Park

This park consists of a baseball field, a softball field, a soccer field, a concessions stand, restroom facilities, a 6-12 year old playground, swings, a covered shelter, picnic tables, and on-site parking.

Joe Hudson Neighborhood Park

This park consists of two outdoor basketball courts and on-site parking.

Lowell Community Center (formerly the Lowell Teacherage)

This facility consists of two meeting rooms, a full kitchen, bathrooms, tables, chairs, and on-site parking. This building can be rented to both residents and non-residents fo Lowell. It's popular for birthday parties, baby showers, bridal showers, family gatherings, and more.

Rental Information

The Community Center can be rented any day of the week. Rentals are for the day (8:00 am - 11:00 pm). Please call City Hall (704-824-3518 - option 1) to check date availability. Rental fees must be paid in full prior to your event upon completion of your application for use. Rental fees must also be paid in cash.

Pricing for Lowell residents is $200.00. $100.00 of this fee is your user fee which is non-refundable. $100.00 is your deposit which will be returned after your inspection is completed. 

Pricing for Non-Residents is $250.00. $150 of this fee is your user fee which is non-refundable. $100.00 is your deposit which will be returned after your inspection is completed.
