"Flats" Historical Marker Fundraiser Campaign

Flats Sign

With the support of the Lowell City Council, the Lowell Community Improvement Advisory Committee, and the Gaston County Historic Preservation Commission, a historical marker will be placed along Main Street, near Joe Hudson Park, that will honor and commemorate those that lived in the Flats Community.

The marker will be 36” by 26” and will sit on an 8’ pole. The total of the sign is $2,789.28. The City of Lowell has launched a fundraiser campaign to fund this important historical marker.

For more information on donating, please contact City Hall at (704) 824-4231.
